What we collect
- If you add a listing. What you type into the form on /artists: business name, email, and anything else you choose to fill in (phone, website, Google Maps link, address, city, state, ZIP and metro). Your email and phone are never shown on the site. We also keep a scrambled, one-way code made from your network address, so we can spot a flood of fake entries. We never keep the address itself.
- If you claim a listing. Your email address, so we can send you a six-digit code and recognise you when you come back; the listing you claimed; and what you choose to say about your business (where you work, what you do, how to book), with the date you last confirmed it. Once a person here has read it, it is shown on your listing as your own words, with that date. We also keep whether you have turned on inquiries, a scrambled one-way code of your network address, and, if your email does not match your listing, your request to claim it. There is no password. While you are signed in, a cookie that holds a signed listing code and a scrambled code of your email keeps you signed in for 30 minutes.
- If you ask an artist about a date. What you type into the form: what it is for, the date, the city, how many people, your name and email, and a phone number and a note if you add them. We email it to that one artist, with your email address as the reply-to, so the two of you answer each other directly; we do not see their reply. We keep a copy of your request, a scrambled one-way code of your network address, and what the artist later tells us happened to it (that they replied, that it was booked or declined, or that it was spam). It is never shown on the site, never used for ads, and passed on to no one but that artist (and the companies below that store and deliver it). Once an artist has it, what they do with it is up to them. We do not control it and this policy does not bind them.
- Businesses we list. Public business details, as described in our terms.
- How the site is used. Pages opened and errors hit, so we can fix what breaks. Ad and visit measurement runs only if you accept cookies (below).
- Which ad brought you here. If you arrived from one of our ads, the campaign labels in the link (utm_source and the like) are kept with a listing you add. A Meta click id is kept only if you accept cookies.
There are no user accounts, so we hold no passwords.
The only email we send to a person is one they asked for: the code when you claim a listing, and your request to the artist you chose. We do not email anyone to promote anything.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not use your content to train anyone's models.
- We do not take card payments. Nothing on the site is for sale.
- We do not send your inquiry to an artist who has not turned inquiries on, or to more than the one artist you chose.
Who processes data for us
These companies handle data on our behalf. Each one is here because the product needs it to work.

Ads on our pages
Our public pages may show ads from other companies. The ads come from Google AdSense. Each ad is marked "Advertisement". No ad is asked for until you accept cookies.
Google and its partners may use cookies to show you ads. The ads can be based on your past visits to our site or to other sites. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can turn off ads based on your visits in Google's Ads Settings, or turn off many ad companies at once at aboutads.info.
A business never pays us to be listed or to rank higher, and an ad is never shown as a listing.
Cookies and ad measurement
We ask before we use any cookie the site does not need to work. You see the choice at the bottom of the page the first time you visit. If you say no, none of the tools below load, and the site works the same.
If you say yes, we load the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel. It tells us which of our ads brought you here, which city pages you opened, and when you clicked through to an artist's own website. It never gets what you type into a form. We may also load Google Analytics, TikTok, LinkedIn and PostHog, to count visits the same way.
One cookie the site does need: if you sign in as the owner of a listing, a cookie keeps you signed in for 30 minutes. It is set only after you enter the code we email you, it is not used for ads or measurement, and it is not asked about because the sign-in does not work without it.
We remember your choice in your browser, on this device, so we do not ask again on every page. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie choices" link at the bottom of every page.
Where it is stored, and for how long
Data is stored in the United States. When you ask us to delete what you sent, we erase it within 30 days. Requests to artists (inquiries) are kept until you ask us to delete them; there is no shorter time limit. A listing owner can change or withdraw what they said, and turn inquiries off, at any time from the claim page; the earlier versions stay in our records.
Your rights
To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to have a listing taken down, email [email protected]. You do not have to give a reason. If you are in a place with data rights in law (the UK, the EU, California and others), those rights apply to you, and this is how you use them.
Security
What we actually do is on the security page, stated plainly enough that you can check it.
Changes
A change is posted on this page, with a new date at the top, before it takes effect.
